Since back in the 1800s people have been flocking to Middle Tennessee and more precisely to Columbia to show and trade Mules. Even though the speed at which we do things has changed,(horsepower, or mule power) some things still continue. We as humans delight in getting together, having fun, and renewing friendships; so why not schedule to come join us in this years Mule Day events. Even if you don't have a mule to trade you will enjoy the different events. There is something for everyone; Beauty Pageants, Attractions, Flea Markets, Craft Festivals, Knife & Coin Show, Singing, Mule Pulls, Cowboy Mounted Shooters, Liar's Contest, Parades on Saturday and much much more. Fixing to get ready for some "Down Home" picking and grinning fun. Less than an hour south of Nashville {Music City USA), Columbia awaits. Thousands from all over the world will arrive to enjoy the fun filled week. They will be arriving, by bus, car, plane, trains, and yes even on wagon trains. For 1 week in April we step back in time and have some slow paced activities. Even the most elite have donned some gingham outfits or even high bib over-alls. We have even let the mules wear them in the parade.
Why not schedule your vacation and include Columbia, Tennessee. Enjoy the new cultural attractions and country music in Nashville, the taste of country scheduled on Mule Days in Columbia, in short travel time you can be in Alabama checking out the Space Center and on to Gulf Shores for some fun in the sun and sand.
